Albert J. Tino

Albert J. Tino, 87 passed away May 18, 2016. He was born, raised, educated and known as "Skip" in Dobbs Ferry. After High School he was proud to serve four years in the United States Marines. After his time in the service he served the Village of Scarsdale Police Dept. for 20 years. He retired at the rank of Lieutenant. In 1953 he married Darlene Woycik of Irvington at Our Lady of Pompeii Church where he remained a lifelong parishioner. They were married 60 years. He continued to stay active in his retirement. He worked as a warehouse manager for Beconta Corp and Thule Corp. He later worked at Our Lady of Victory School in Dobbs Ferry where he fixed and maintained the building. Dressing as Santa and spreading Holiday cheer at OLV was a highlight for him. His spare time was filled with Gardening and hunting with friends. Albert was predeceased by his parents Maria and Joseph Tino along with his brothers George, Anthony and Peter. Surviving Albert are his loving children Gail Peter Capuano, George Ann Tino, Carol James Monaghan, six cherished grandchildren Kristin Marcello, Patrick, Anthony, Joseph, Paul and Emma, his devoted sister Marie Partenza and many special nieces and nephews. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 9:30 am Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorials to the Hastings-on-Hudson Volunteer Ambulance appreciated.
