Firsty, Eileen Solomon nee Ohringer of Dobbs Ferry, New York, passed away on August 16, 2012. Beloved wife of Sherman. Adored mother and grandmother of Lisa Solomon Hodes and her husband Adam, and their children Gillian, Lauren and Matthew. Loving sister of Fredric Ohringer and his wife Jayne Taylor. Devoted stepmother and grandmother of Marc Firsty and his daughter Jacqueline, and Caren Friedman and her husband Randy and their children Parker and Geffrey. Eileen was born on November 23, 1934 in the Bronx, New York to the Honorable Samuel J and Sara Ohringer. After attending Evander Childs High School and Hunter College she worked for 42 years at Evander Childs High School, first as a math teacher and then as head of the math department. She was a long-time member of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center of Dobbs Ferry. She was actively involved in the Sisterhood. She also chaired several committees at the Greenburgh Hebrew Center.
