Julia Ardanowski

Julia Ardanowski, 97, of Scarsdale passed away on June 6, 2015. Born in New Britain, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Solek. Julia was raised in Yonkers and attended Yonkers schools. In 1935, she married her beloved Henry Ardanowski in Yonkers. They then moved to a poultry farm in Scarsdale and raised their family. Julia had a passion for gardening, embroidery and crocheting. She also loved to travel to Poland, Austria, Mexico, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Julia especially enjoyed her time visiting the Polish Community Center with her husband Henry. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, who will be greatly missed. Julia is survived by her children Henry J. Lenna Shearer Ardanowski and Arlene Philip Oraby, grandson Roger H. Tracy Ardanowski and great granddaughter Madison Julia Ardanowski. She is also survived by her niece Susan Domenic Solek-Reda. Julia was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1976 and by her brothers Chasmir and Joseph Solek. Mass of the Resurrection Wednesday 10am Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ardsley. Visiting Monday 4-7pm Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
