Jessie DiChiara, 93 a lifelong resident Irvington passed away on January 25, 2015. Born and raised in Irvington, she was the daughter of the late James and Jessie McMurtrie. Jessie married her beloved Leonard on May 6, 1944. She worked as a secretary for a liquor company in New York City before becoming a full time mother and devoting herself to raising her beloved sons. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother and great grandmother. Jessie is survived by her four sons Leonard, Jr. Sue, Peter Liz, James Marcia and Norman Judy, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Sarah Paul. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 2003. Funeral Service Friday 10:00am Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home with Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
