Sebastian Cavallaro
Sebastian Cavallaro, 90, a resident of Yorktown Heights for the past fourteen years died Thursday May 6, 2004. Mr. Cavallaro was born in Manhattan the son of Angelo and Angelina nee Cuti Cavallaro. He was raised in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. Mr. Cavallaro served in the US Navy during World War II. On May 8, 1942 he married Rose Doctor in New York City. They later lived in Riverdale before moving to Yorktown. Mr. Cavallaro taught Health Education at Stuyvesant High School until he was seventy years old. After his retirement he returned to the school as a substitute teacher where he remained until he was 87. Surviving are his wife, his children Carolyn Jones Petzold and Thomas Cavallaro, his grandchildren Thomas Cavallaro Jr, Ryan Cavallaro, Jennifer Jones Sisca Peter, Alexandra Michelle Cavallaro, Nicole Marie Cavallaro, Christa Danielle Cavallaro, his great grandchildren Catherine, Caroline and Gabriella Cavallaro. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 9:30AM Sacred Heart Church, Dobbs Ferry. Visiting Friday 7-9PM and Saturday 2-4 & 7-9PM Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. No visiting Sunday.
