My Mother’s family grew up next to Howard’s Mother’s family. I worked under Howard as a lifeguard at the Ardsley Country Club. He would regularly carry 200 lb chlorine tanks on his shoulder. He saved at least one child from drowning.
He was truly a gentle giant.
