Stefanie Halpern
Stefanie J. Halpern; 74 of White Plains; on Nov. 7. Stefanie was a Past President of the Clinical Division of New York State Psychological Association. Stefanie was a graduate of NYU; she earned an M.A. in Lit from Columbia; an M.A. in Psychology from New School for Social Research, and her Psychology PhD from NYU. She has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1970, maintaining a private practice as well as working with many other organizations and institutions. Stefanie taught at various colleges in NY and was widely published. She is survived by her daughter Deborah and future son in law Alexander Sinclair. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur C. Halpern who died in 1980; and husband Abram Zevy who died in 2007. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew Caroline Rimmer, Michele, Pam and Gordon Janis and grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Tuesday, 10 AM Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Contributions in Stefanie's name, can be made to Calvary Hospital or the ASPCA.November 7, 201011/07/2010
