I knew others called him Tunney, but I knew him as Eugene. We went to St. Matthew's together. My memories of school there have faded, but not the kindness of Eugene Maher. He was a friend to all and an example of goodness.

I am very sad to hear of Tunney's passing. He was a genuinely good person who, although I did not know him well, was always kind and friendly. My most sincere condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about Tunney he loved Hastings both the town and the people and had the courage never to leave he will be sorely missed.
