RUTH KALMES EGLOFF December 25, 1939 - July 10, 2018 It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Kalmes Egloff announces her passing after her fight to battle cancer. Ruth was born in Yonkers, NY on December 25, 1939 to Frederick and Adelaide Kalmes. Ruth passed away at her home in Irvington, NY on July 10, 2018 at the age of 78 with her loving family by her side. Ruth was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Dobbs Ferry, NY. With her generous heart and loving personality, she was loved by all. Her Christian life will forever influence and remain in the lives of all who knew her. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Fred and their 5 children, Fred (Linda), Jim (Nicole), Bonnie (Bruce), Gretchen and Heidi (Rich). She will also be remembered by her 12 grandchildren, Jenna, Stephen, Krista, Jimmy, Dylan, Kaitlin, Jared, Jacob, Kyle, Juliana, Lindsey, Adriana, 2 Great Grandchildren, Lino and Luca and her brother, Peter (Nancy) Kalmes. Along with many cousins, neices and nephews. A viewing will be held at Edwards-Dowdle funeral Home located at 64 Ashford Avenue, Dobbs Ferry, NY on Friday, July 13 from 4pm - 8pm. In memory of Ruth to celebrate her life, there will be a church service on Saturday, July 14, at 10:00am at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, located at 600 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY. The burial will follow the service at Kensico Cemetary, located at 273 Lake View Avenue, Valhalla, NY. Mom's enormous selflessness, beautiful soul and smile, will sorely be missed by all her family and friends.
