On Monday September 7, 2020 Esperanza "Pat" Paxinos (ne Miguel), loving wife, mother and grandmother passed on to eternal rest at the age of 87. Pat was born to parents Zoilo and Dorotea Miguel (ne Ablan) on March 28, 1933 in the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan in the Philippines. She immigrated to the United States as a young woman to pursue a profession in nursing. She settled in Irvington NY with her husband Nestor in 1975 where they raised two children. Pat was a devoted RN, practicing at Dobbs Ferry Hospital for the majority of her career. She loved reading, gardening, and caring for her grandchildren who called her Lola. She was passionate about cooking and her eggrolls and apple pie were family favorites. She is survived by her husband Nestor, son Michael and daughter-in-law Erin, daughter Marietta and son-in-law Toby, grandchildren Sophia and Alexander, as well as siblings Lucila Miguel Domingo, Ceferino Miguel and Vincente Miguel. Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Gathering beginning at 1:00 pm at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry.
