Maria Grazia Macri, 101 a long time resident Dobbs Ferry died April 19, 2005. She was born on September 7, 1903 in Torre Di Ruggiero, Italy to Vito and Teresa Pagano Barbieri. On December 24, 1919 at the age of 16 her family immigrated to the United States . Maria married Giacomo Macri on June 20, 1920 in Dobbs Ferry. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ardsley since the church was established and was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters Theresa Leuzzi of Scarsdale and Clare Delmas of Elmsford, a son Nicholas Macri of Ardsley, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Giacomo, 2 brothers Dr. Vito Barbieri and Dominick Barbieri, 2 Sisters, Theresa De Nardo and Agnes Pasquale. Mass of the Resurrection 10AM Friday Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ardsley. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to Community Hospital at Dobbs Ferry, 128 Ashford Ave. Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522 would be greatly appreciated

I am sorry for your loss. My grand parents were from Torre. Their name was Servello and Nesci. My great cousin Vito Cirillo's wife was Agnes Barbieri, also from Torre. It is sad when we lose a loved one.
