Poughquag - Geraldine Romeo, a longtime resident of Poughquag, passed away on July 31, 2022 at home with her beloved husband Jerry by her side. She was born on September 13, 1941 to Margaret and John Oliveri. On April 28, 1973, she married Jerry Romeo and they enjoyed 49 wonderful years together.

Her strong attention to detail served her well in her professional career as a bookkeeper.
As a homemaker she excelled in both cooking and baking. She was an avid word puzzle enthusiast, enjoyed the excitement of casinos, and especially looked forward to playing cards on Friday nights with her great niece Amanda and her great grand nephew T.J. She was a strong-willed woman whose straightforwardness masked a heart that was sensitive and caring.

She had a deep love for her family and friends, and her uniqueness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Geraldine is survived by her beloved husband Jerry Romeo of Poughquag, NY; her brother John Oliveri of White Plains, NY and her brother Richard Oliveri of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was pre-deceased by her sisters Marguerite Gladding of Yorktown Heights, NY and Adelaide Gardner of Levittown, NY.
