Joseph B. Flory, 85, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette, IN.

Born on December 1, 1936, in Cass County, Joe is the son to the late Byron and Mildred (Walker) Flory.  On June 27, 1956, in the Bethel Chapel, Joe married Jean Ann Hipsher who survives.

Joe was a 1954 graduate of Logansport High School. He was a plumber for 61 years. He had worked for the Kitt Peak Observatory in Arizona, and then 29 years as head of maintenance for the Logansport Community School Corporation. After leaving the school corporation Joe worked for Krysevig Electric and never really retired. He enjoyed working but most of all he loved people.

Surviving along with his wife, Jean Ann, is a son, Jon B. (Kathy) Flory of Logansport; daughter, Jennifer Flory of Logansport; three grandchildren, Jenna (Kyle) Albright of Austin, TX; Joseph N. (Kendra) Flory of Logansport; Jon R.T. Flory (Fiancé, Katie Freestone) of Logansport; two great grandchildren, Alfred and Eva Albright; brother-in-law, Robert Hipsher of Abbeville, SC; sister in law, Judy Flory of Logansport; several special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene, David and Jim: and a sister, Ellen.

A private service will be held for the family and burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, Logansport.
