Donald Victor Passwaiter
<p><br /> On Friday July 22, 2022, Donald V. Passwaiter, loving husband, father, and papa, passed away following a short battle with cancer at the age of 69.<br /> Donald was born on December 15, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to Nellie and Donald Passwaiter. Don graduated from Palmetto High School in 1971, and joined the United States Navy shortly thereafter. He was stationed at NAS Cecil Field, and Jacksonville became his home.</p> <p>Donald was an avid Florida Gators fan, and loved spending time with his family. There was no greater joy in life to him than being with his grandchildren. Donald’s personality was larger than life, to know him was to love him. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his boisterous sense of humor.</p> <p>Don was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie McGurer; and his first wife Shan (mother of his 3 children).<br /> He is survived by his wife Rebecca Passwaiter; his children Jennifer (Larry), Zack (Danielle), Jessica (Michael); his step-children Amanda and Alex; and his sister, Cheryl (Bill). As well as 12 grandchildren; Zachery, Kylie, Will, Allie, Coinneach, Emma, Virgil, Charlotte, Elizabeth, William, Olivia, and Benjamin.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 9:00 am at the Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care.<br /> </p>December 15, 1952 - July 22, 202212/15/195207/22/2022
