<p style="text-align: justify;">Dennis Norman Groom, age 91, of Wolcottville, Indiana passed away on Sunday July 31st, 2022 at the Orchard Pointe in Kendallville, Indiana. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Dennis was born March 23, 1931 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Ralph L. and Eva Pearl (Mossey) Groom. Dennis married Dorothy (Hollingsworth) Groom on Jun 23, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana. Dorothy preceded him in death in 1981. He was also preceded in death by his sisters; Patricia Parmely, Juanita (Ray) Riggs, a brother Ralph Eugene Groom and an infant Denise Groom in 1954.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Dennis was a janitor for Prairie Heights High School. Dennis loved his grandchildren, dancing, playing horseshoes and cards.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Dennis is survived by a daughter Tamara L. Groom (Freddie Shepherd) of Kendallville, Indiana and granddaughters Jennifer (Rob Russell) Groom of Wolcottville, Indiana, Candice Kreiger of Kendallville, Indiana and Crystal (Brad) Rice of Logan, West Virginia. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A Memorial graveside service will be held at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 19th, 2022.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Palmer Funeral Homes - Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 is assisting the family with arrangements.</p>Obituary
