Michael S. Pascucelli Michael S. Pascucelli, 81, formerly of Plains Road, Ipswich, died Sunday May 23, 2010 in the Country Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Newburyport, following his long illness. He was the husband of the late Eleanor M. (MacIsaac) Pascucelli who died in 2001. Born in New Haven, CT November 8, 1928, son of the late Michael and Philomena (Fusco) Pascucelli, he was raised in West Haven where he was a graduate of public schools. During four years of the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S Navy as a radioman in charge of ship communications aboard the USS Randall. Following his honorable discharge he studied electronics at the Ward School of Electronics at Hillyard College in Connecticut, graduating with the Class of 1952. He was employed in the electronics industry in Connecticut and most recently by the Raytheon Company in Andover from which he retired in 1994 following thirth years of employment. In retirement he worked for several years for the Trustees of Reservations with Crane Beach Patrol and served as a member of the Ipswich Zoning Board of Appeals. He was also a member of Ipswich VFW Post #1093, the Trustees of Reservations and the Council on Aging, whose activities he enjoyed in the years before his illness. He had many friends wherever he traveled. His sense of humor made quite a big hit with all he came in contact with, even up to the very end. His sense of compassion for others was a great gift to all. He was a good family provider, loyal, reliable and dependable, and very kindhearted. Michael enjoyed hobbies such as hiking, boating, carpentry, electronics, auto mechanics, landscaping, music, dance, travel, and being surrounded by his family. He was a devoted son, husband, father, friend, and brother. Each of his five children have many memories of family gatherings, festive occasions, laughter, dad's antipasto, famous clambakes, lobsters, and the daily humorous words he would say unexpectedly which to this day are carried down to his children's families. Mike has quite a legacy and is very much missed by all. Michael is survived by five children; Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Lea (Pascucelli) Castori and Lea's daughter Moriah of NH; Ms. Patricia A. Pascucelli of Ipswich and her three children, U.S. Army Capt `Robert G. Becotte, III, serving in Afghanistan, Sara Becotte of Amesbury and Meredith Becotte of Ipswich; Michael J. Pascucelli of Long Island City, NY; Mr. and Mrs. Steven J. and M. Leigh Pascucelli and their two children Natalie and Andrew of Winder, GA ; Mary Beth (Pascucelli) Nason and her son Daniel both of Ipswich; a brother, Raymond Pascucelli of NH and a sister, Loretta Schebell of CT. His funeral will be held Wednesday May 26 at 8 am from the Whittier-Porter Funeral home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, followed by a Funeral Mass 9 am in Our Lady of Hope Church, Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4 to 8 pm with a service by VFW Post #1093 at 7 pm. In interment with Naval Honors will be in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, suggestions for memorial contributions in his name are to a Christian Children's Charity, the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, Hospice or to a brain injury and trauma center.
