Mapleton - Caroline M. Gough, 80, passed away suddenly, Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle. She was born July 28, 1942, in Cranston, RI, the daughter of Rowland and Lucia (McCrea) Keach. Caroline grew up in Cranston and later moved to Mapleton when she married Arnold Gough. Caroline worked hand in hand with her husband, while raising their three children. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her raspberry pies. Most important to Caroline was her faith in God, her family, and extended family. She is survived by her three children; Diane Pratt and her husband Ivan of Chapman, Robert Gough and partner Ann McCarthy of Woodland, Douglas Gough of Mapleton, four grandchildren; Jessica Pratt and partner Leigh Long, Andrea Pratt, Jason Pratt and his wife Amber, JoLonna Kilgore and her husband Jonathan, four great-grandchildren; Jared Long, Adalynn and Natalie Pratt, and Bannen Kilgore. Caroline also leaves behind two sisters-in-law; Alice Shepard and her husband LeRoy, and Margaret Savoy and Marshall, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Caroline was predeceased by her husband Arnold Gough, and a sister-in-law Eleanor Savoy. Public visitation, will begin at 12pm Monday, August 1, 2022, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, where a service will be conducted at 1pm, with Wayne Hutchison officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to time of refreshment and remembrance at the Duncan-Graves Reception Hall located at the funeral home, immediately following the service.
