William Robert Burch

WILLIAM ROBERT BURCH William (Bill) Robert Burch passed away 1-29-17 at the age of 75, after a brief illness with pneumonia. He was surrounded by family. Born 1-16-42 to Robert & Margaret Burch in Wilmar California. Bill is survived by Sharon, his wife of 53 years. His daughter Karrie, husband Terry Morgan, grandchildren Chantal & Anthony Robinson, Megan and Trevor Morgan. His other daughter Julie, husband Steve Willis, grandchildren, Bryce and Bayle Willis. His younger sister Beverly and Brother-In-Law Ron Atkinson. Plus five nephews and their families. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, eldest sister Barbara and Brother-In-Law Tom Knutson. Bill was always involved in the construction field. He had his own backhoe, skip loader and dump truck business from 1964 to 1978 in Orange County. From 1978 to 1988, he owned Burch Ford Tractors, a dealership in Nipomo. From then till Bill was hospitalized, he went back into business for himself, B & B Excavating & Trucking #BB-00. He always said he would drive his 10-wheeler until the day he died and he got his wish. Bill loved car races, car shows and his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday 2-11-17 at 2pm Dudley Hoffman Mortuary. A celebration of life will follow at Westrails Barn - 4860 Paint Horse Trail, Orcutt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Marian Medical Center. A special thank you to the nursing staff on the 4th floor and in the critical care unit, plus Dr. Feldman for their exceptional care.
