Debra Jean Tucker

Debra Jean Tucker, age 70, of Piqua, OH passed away at 3:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Ever Heart Hospice in Greenville, OH. She was born July 7, 1952 in Providence, RI to the late William and Willa (Rowan) Tucker. Debra is survived by two sisters: Marcie Stilgoe, Australia; Terri Tucker, Dayton, OH; one brother: William B. Tucker, Piqua, OH; numerous nieces, nephews; and her beloved dog Sadie. Debra graduated from Fairmont West High School in 1970. She received a Bachelors Degree in Science from Wright State University. Debra proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War in the radiation department as a hospital Corpsman. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 9 years and Sinclair Community College for 7 years in the admissions department. Debra was a member of St. Paul’s Orthodox Church in Dayton, OH. She loved her dogs and was an avid reader. Debra enjoyed 60’s and 70’s music and loved to go snow skiing for many years. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, OH with Rev. Fr. Gregory Ealy officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
