Joan M. (Elliot) Macdonald, 78, of North Adams died on July 23, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Cambridge, MA on July 5, 1944 a daughter of the late, Robert & Eleanor (Hayes) Elliott. Joan attended schools in Belmont, MA and was last employed for over 20 years at Northern Berkshire VNA as a devoted and caring home health care aide. Joan enjoyed drawing, coloring, Bingo and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. Joan leaves her two sons, Scott (Angela) Macdonald of North Adams, William Macdonald of Virginia and several grandchildren including, Melissa Dean, Alexa Macdonald, Brady Macdonald, Olivia Macdonald, Moriah Coates, and Andrew Macdonald. She was predeceased by her daughter, Paula Snyder who died in 1986 ; a brother, Robert Elliot and her granddaughter, Angela Dunbar in 1981. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Joan Macdonald will be on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-6 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli –WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247. Burial will be private at Southview Cemetery.
