John William Scoggins

John William “Billy” Scoggins, 77 of Bristol, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Tallahassee. Billy was born in Blountstown, February 19, 1945, to the late John Henry and Evelyn Deloris Scoggins, and had lived in Liberty County most of his life. Billy was a devoted family man, and loved his wife Eunice, and his kids, grandkids, and great-grandchild more than anything in this world. He was a man of great respect, honor, and integrity. He worked with McPherson Pest Control for several years before his retirement. Billy was a member of the Lake Mystic Baptist Church, as well as a member of the Apalachicola River Creek Indian Tribal Organization. In his retirement, Billy loved working with his tractor, gardening, and bird watching. He also enjoyed fixing things and was a true handyman. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Scoggins of Bristol; his daughters, Debbie Walker (Jonathan) of Tallahassee, Tammy Khosla (Kanut) of Lamont, and Shona Gorham (Kevin) of Charlotte, North Carolina; his son, Johnny Scoggins (Ronda) of Toccoa, Georgia; his grandchildren, Megan Moran, James "Jamie" Moran (Annie), Jessica Huckaby, Ashley Bruckerhoff (Ryan), Malcolm Atwell, Jason and Justin Scoggins; one great grandchild, Ty Moran; and his brother-in-law, who was more like a brother, John Burgess of Gainesville.<br>The family will have a time of visitation 10:30 to 12:00 p.m. CST Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown.
