Colleen Hickman, 79 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Cordell Christian Home in Cordell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus with the Reverend Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Velma Colleen (Lloyd) Hickman was born on December 21, 1936 on the family farm, northeast of Seiling, Oklahoma to Earnest Leroy and Opal May (Jones) Lloyd. Colleen was reared in Seiling and graduated from Seiling High School.

Colleen was united in marriage to Robert Ellie Hickman on June 29, 1956 in Lenora, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three children, Rex, Vicki, and Ronnie. After their marriage, they lived in Sharon, Oklahoma for around two years before moving to Fort Supply where Robert and Colleen worked for the Ft. Supply Mental Institution as an Aide. In 1962, the family moved to Alamosa, Colorado and then to Salida, Colorado. In 1970, the family moved to Woodward and she babysat for the Woodward Public School teachers.

Colleen enjoyed doing yard work, ceramics, sewing and crocheting. She loved sewing and crocheting for her grandchildren and her family and they had just recently found boxes of blankets she had made for her unborn great-grandchildren. Colleen had won yard of the month several times.

She is survived by her sons, Rex Hickman and wife Honey, Ronnie Hickman and wife Kelli; one daughter Vicki Morris; three brothers, Arnold Lloyd, Dwight Lloyd and wife Earlene, Jim Lloyd; nine grandchildren, Neva Jo McCormick, Candie Wheeler, Brandy Cruz, Cayla Allen, Carrie Flewelling, Andrew Hickman, Chantelle Hickman, Austin Hickman, Anthony Hickman; 14 great-grandchildren, Quinton Johnson, Chevelle Allen, Miriam Allen, William Allen, Ryan Wheeler, Patrick Wheeler, Coby Flewelling, Riley Flewelling, Jamie Wheeler, Maisyn McCormick, Aidan McCormick, Julian, Adriean, and Dariean Cruz; two brothers-in-law, Gary Hickman and wife Sylvia and Jack Hickman; one sister-in-law, Karen Wills and husband Curt; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert E. Hickman on September 23, 2002, granddaughter, Julie Phillips Morris and two sisters-in-law Barbara Lloyd and Almeta Latta.
