<p>"Mothers don't fear death, they're afraid of leaving behind their children knowing that no one will love and care for them like she did..."</p><p><br></p><p>Kay Dove passed away on July 19, 2022 surrounded by love.</p><p>Kay was born on February 22, 1947 to Joseph and Margaret Maher on Burnt Island.</p><p>They later floated their home across to Culls Harbour where she grew up with her siblings. She adored them all.</p><p><br></p><p>She met the love of her life and her best friend Manuel Dove in 1967 and they married in June 1969.</p><p>They went on to have 3 children. Kay was a generous, loving mother and devoted wife.</p><p>She always put everyone's needs before her own.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a very hardworking woman but when not working she knew how to enjoy life. She loved to watch the birds through her kitchen window, go trouting, play cards, play the accordion, listen to country music and dance.</p><p>She enjoyed the simple things in life but her greatest joy was being with her family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband Manuel Dove, daughter Kim (Terry), son Trevor (Bev), son Shawn (Sonia), her grand children Amber, Marcus (Paulina), Amanda, Kiley, Allison and Emma.</p><p>Great grandchildren Kali, Seth, Cash, Kadence, Harper and Maya.</p><p><br></p><p>Siblings Eric, Leo, Martha, Cyril and Margie and so many others who were blessed to know her.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held at Oram's Funeral Home Glovertown on Sunday July 24, 2022 from 2-4 pm.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Culls Harbour on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 2 pm.</p><p><br></p><p>For those who would like to make a donation in her honour please donate to the Newfoundland &amp; Labrador Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Heart Unit at the Health Science Center in St. John's.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements entrusted to the care of Oram's Funeral Home Glovertown.</p><p><br></p>
