Graveside funeral services for Joyce Mynatt, 81-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away early Wednesday morning at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Friday, July 29th at 10:00 a.m. in Willow Grove Cemetery with Sally Frost officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Harness Funeral Chapel, 351 N Adams Avenue in Buffalo. Donations in Mrs. Mynatt’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center at 671 West Fetterman in Buffalo, Wyoming 82834. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com Joyce Marie Mynatt was born on June 15, 1941, in Greenville, Tennessee to Samuel and Martha Malone. She moved with her family to Plattsburg, Missouri where she grew up and went to school. She graduated from Plattsburg High School and graduated with the class of 1960. She was married on May 12, 1960, to Linnville “Sonny” Mynatt in the Winwood, Baptist Church in Winwood, Missouri, and they made their home in Plattsburg, Missouri. They had two sons and one daughter. They moved around to various locations as Mr. Mynatt worked as a heavy equipment operator. In 1973 they moved to Acme, Wyoming and later to Sheridan, Wyoming where she was a homemaker. Sonny passed away in August of 2014 and Joyce continued living in Buffalo until her death. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting. She collected Star Wars and Star Trek toys and memorabilia. She is survived by two sons, Robert Mynatt of Buffalo, Wyoming and William Mynatt of Sheridan, Wyoming; one daughter Teresa Strom and her husband Kirk of Buffalo; four brothers Leroy and Michael Malone of Plattsburg, Missouri, Kenneth Malone of Loves Park, Illinois and Richard Malone of Reno, Nevada; one sister Betty Swindler of Plattsburg; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters.
