Jamie Lynn Chartrand (Wolf in the Mist)
AKA James & Chaps, short for Chapel Junior
Jamie was born August 7th, 1977 in Dauphin MB to William and Zelda Chartrand.  Due to her mother’s health condition at the time Jamie was raised in Camperville MB by her grandparents Thomas and Lena Chartrand.  She spent most of her childhood in Camperville playing alongside her aunts and uncles as they were her first brothers and sisters.  In her teen years Jamie moved to Duck Bay MB to live with her parents and gained new siblings.  It was those years spent in Duck Bay that help start her bond with her biological brothers and sisters.  As well with her parents.  In her adult years Jamie lived in Dauphin MB.  She worked at the Boulevard Hotel, bartending mostly.  Here she met many new people and made many friends over the years.  Jamie worked at the Boulevard until the birth of her son Kenneth James.
Jamie had many talents in life.  She was an awesome writer of poetry and planned to write a book one day.  She was the best cook.  You just had to stay out of her way in the kitchen or face her wrath.  Unless you were doing the dishes.  She liked to listen to music, sing karaoke, binge watch her favorite shows, read books, play sudoku and craft.  She would create home made gifts from the heart for many of her loved ones.  Even though she claimed not to like hugs, she would occasionally allow them and it meant so much when she did.  The only exception to this rule was babies, children and of course Kenneth.  Kenneth the greatest love of her life and her greatest miracle as she thought she would never be able to have a child of her own.  They spent many days and nights watching movies and just talking.  Because of this they had that special bond.
When she was young Jamie enjoyed hanging with friends, square dancing, snowmobiling in the winter, in the summer baseball and when her parents bought a new camcorder, she liked recording videos of her friends and family acting out silly skits.  She loved her travels with grandma Lena.  Especially to Aunt Betty’s in Regina.  She loved when grandpa Thomas told her bedtime stories of his time in the war.  There were many stories Jamie would tell of the good ole days and she was very theatrical in the re-telling of these stories.  Jamie always documented important life moments, either through writing, pictures or videos and she had an excellent memory.  We are so grateful she did this for us and we will cherish the records she left us.
Jamie liked to laugh with family and friends and loved family gatherings where everyone could be together.  Family was very important to Jamie.  She made sure to stay in touch with all of her family, from great nieces and nephews to great aunts and uncles.  Jamie loved everyone and in her own way, let them know.  Because she loved everyone, she was loved by everyone.  Jamie Lynn Chartrand, gone too soon, but an everlasting impression you have left.
