Lawrence Anthony Reles Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Lawrence, on July 19th with his family by his side.

Lawrence is survived by the love of his life and wife Marion Reles, his 3 children Dan (Denise), Chris & Anita, his 3 grandchildren, Chantel (Derek), Michelle & Lucien, his brother Louis, sister-in-law Marion as well as step-children David & Julie. He is also mourned by many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Lawrence was born in Langenburg, Sk on September 21, 1934 to Christopher and Emma (nee Van Caeseele). He was the 6th of 7 children.

Lawrence made his way in life doing many different jobs and owning a few farms and businesses in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia before finally settling in Rossburn, MB on a small farm to raise his 3 children.

Lawrence, who was a Plumber, Pipe and Gas Fitter spent his last 20 working years as Maintenance Supervisor at the Health Centre in Shoal Lake, MB. This is also where Lawrence resided for his last 30 years.

Lawrence was an avid fisherman. Marion and Lawrence loved spending time camping and fishing with friends in Snow Lake, MB. They also enjoyed their trips to Northern BC and into Alaska. This was his happy place. They travelled to Ecuador as well to see David, who was living there.

Lawrence loved spending time with family. He adored his grandchildren and the time they would spend with him fishing, helping in the garden or just sharing stories.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hamiota Health Centre and also the great staff at Shoal Lake Health Palliative Care Unit for helping us through the last few weeks with Lawrence.
