<p>Juanita Ann (Annie) Watson Gislason, age 48, of the Williams Creek community of Oneida, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 11, 2022, at her home. She was born May 29, 1974, in Ft. Hood, Texas, to Jerry and Janet Chambers Watson. Annie was a long-time teacher at Fairview Elementary School and had retired in February of 2022. Annie was also known by her pen name, Sydney Logan, under which she published over a dozen novels.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her brother, Jamie Watson and her grandparents, RD and Nila Chambers of Robbins.</p> <p>She is survived by her husband, BJ Gislason; parents, Jerry and Janet Chambers Watson, all of Williams Creek; brothers, Jeffrey Watson and wife Martha of North Carolina, and Justin Watson of Williams Creek; sister, Jodie Watson of Williams Creek; grandparents, Otis Watson of Sevierville, and Doris Neely of Georgia; nieces and nephews, Tristen Kimla, Allison Hensley, Logan Watson, Sawyer Watson, and Athena Watson. She is also survived by her father- and mother-in-law, James and Terri Gislason of Vincennes, IN; sisters-in-law, Colleen Phillips Watson of Helenwood, and Jennifer Gislason Hensley of Vincennes; her co-workers at Fairview Elementary School; many other family members and friends.</p> <p>Annie and her family have requested cremation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a scholarship fund in her name: The Annie Watson Gislason Memorial Scholarship Fund. Deposits can be made at any First National Bank Branch (account #837781).
