Timothy Paul Lund

Timothy Lund, age 60, of Jewell, IA, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at MercyOne in Des Moines, IA. Timothy Paul Lund was born October 7th, 1961, in Story City, Iowa to Luther and Pauline (Hassebrock) Lund. Tim graduated from South Hamilton High School in 1980. Tim married Julee Olson on August 3rd , 2002, in Clear Lake Iowa. Tim worked various jobs and farmed on the family farm for many years. Tim was a member of the Jewell Golf and Country Club, Bethesda Lutheran Church, he was an Ellsworth Township Trustee, along with being a volunteer firefighter on Jewell Fire and Rescue department for 17 years. He was an avid Cyclone fan that included the Cy-Ride tailgating bus that made many trips to Jack Trice Stadium in Ames Iowa. He also enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers. In Tim’s free time he enjoyed spending it with friends and family not only on the farm but in Clear Lake. On July 12th, 2022, with his family by his side, Tim passed away peacefully. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife, Julee Lund; daughter Lindsay (Justin) Hoversten; stepsons Brent (LaDana) Sogard and Jon (Fallon) Sogard; grandchildren Kendra Hoversten, Bella Sogard, Max Sogard and Mila Sogard; sisters Sue Friest and Joyce (Lynn) Knutson; along with many other nieces, nephews and friends. Tim was proceeded in death by his parents Luther and Pauline and brother-in-law Parker Friest Casual attire required and ISU colors are expected!!
