Chiquita Kawana Holt

<p>Chiquita Kawana Holt was born to Jeraldine Williams and Freddie Holt on March 1, 1965 in Stuttgart, Arkansas.</p> <p>She was a graduate of Stuttgart Public Schools, Class of 1983. Chiquita began her higher education at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, but later transferred to the University of Arkansas at Monticello. On the campus of UAM is where she became a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Chiquita received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech in 1989. She then became licensed as a certified teacher. Chiquita decided to further her education and obtained her Specialist Degree in Psychology, Education and Counseling from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.</p> <p>Chiquita grew up serving in church at New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Stuttgart. While attending Revival Center C.O.G.I.C. in Monticello, Arkansas, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. After graduating from UAM, she returned to Stuttgart and attended Mount Calvary C.O.G.I.C. in Casscoe, Arkansas. Upon her relocation from Jonesboro back to Stuttgart, she was led to return to her home church of New Bethel. There she served as a Trustee, Finance Committee member, Library Coordinator, Choir member and drum player. Chiquita was a faithful member, willing to assist wherever she was needed. She was a teaching, speaking, and trusting servant of God. In addition, Chiquita was a tutor, counselor and teacher of education and the Word of God, until she departed this life on July 8, 2022.</p> <p>Chiquita leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Freddie Holt and Jeraldine Williams, both of Stuttgart, AR; five sisters Fredina Holt of Stuttgart, AR, Tammy Holt and Sandi (Leato) Walker, both of Little Rock, AR, Clarisse Porter of Houston, TX, and Iretha (Fred) Burleson of Midwest City, OK; two brothers Anthony (Jeanette) Holt of Memphis, TN and Garland (Dana) Holt of Jacksonville, AR; two aunts Hattie Holt of Detroit, MI and Ernestine Walker of Stuttgart, AR; two uncles Ted (Joyce) Polk of Chicago, IL and Willie Earl (Beverly) Polk of Fort Smith, AR; a special brother Todd (Edith) Woods of Crocketts Bluff, AR; Godsons Carlos Thomas of Jonesboro, AR and James Carroll, II of Warren, AR; special extended family, the Thompkins, the Whites, and the Woffords; and a host of special sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and other relatives.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &ldquo;In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust&rdquo; ~ Psalm 31:1, Psalm 71:1</p>

Chiquita Kawana Holt was born to Jeraldine Williams and Freddie Holt on March 1, 1965 in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
