It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Scholastica Dyce, née Bain. She was lovingly known as Jackie, Mummy, Grandma, Jacks, and Jackita. She was born on February 10, 1942 to Isabella and Ashley Bain, in the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. On Friday, July 8, 2022, she passed peacefully in her Milton home, surrounded by family members. <br><br>She was 80 years old at the time of her passing. She will be remembered as a loving mummy, witty grandma, supportive mother-in-law, kind aunty, caring friend, gentle colleague and prayerful church parishioner. She will be sadly missed as an extraordinary home-maker, nurturing teacher, and wise confidante.<br><br>She enriched the lives of countless students whom she taught over the course of more than forty years during her teaching career. She touched the lives of many family members, neighbors, colleagues, and friends, who easily became extended family members.<br><br>She is predeceased by her dear husband, Stafford Dyce, her parents, Isabella and Ashley, and her brother, Michael.<br><br>She is survived by her daughters Sharlene and Deline, sons-in-law, Wayne and Lester, grandchildren, Tracelle, Tori-Ann, Matthew, Travis, Nathan and Leah, nephew, Marlon, niece Jackie, her Uncle Nebert, and many friends, especially in Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and the USA. <br><br>We thank God for her life and the shining example that she set for so many. May she rest in peace.<br> <br>Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton, ON L9T 1N5, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.<br>Memorial Mass for her life will take place on Friday, August 12, 2022 at St.Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 300 Yates Dr, Milton, ON L9T 2W3, at 1:00 p.m.<br><br>The inurnment of Jackie Dyce will take place at a date to be determined, in Kingston, Jamaica. <br><br>As an expression of sympathy, donations in Jackie’s memory can be made to St. Benedict Parish.
