Simone Lloyd

Simone Lloyd, 100 of Keokuk died Friday, July 8, 2022 at Aspire of Donnellson in Donnellson, IA. She was born June 10, 1922 in South Berwick, Maine the daughter of Edward and Roseanne Chouinard Renaud. On September 2, 1944, she was united in marriage to Robert Lloyd in Manchester, N.H. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1990. Simone was employed with Arrowhead Bowl for many years. Her most important job was being a mom to her two daughters. After her girls graduated high school she obtained her driver’s license and she was always on the go. She enjoyed taking trips with her girls to her favorite gambling spots. She also enjoyed quilting and playing bingo. Most of all she loved her family. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Baker (Walt) and Karen Byers all of Keokuk four grandchildren, Terrie Baker, Corey Baker (Amber), Tony Baker (Jenny) and Carrie Sherwood (Arthur), thirteen grandchildren, Steph Riddle (Matt), Joey Martens (Amber), TJ Martens, Dylan Campbell, Mason Baker, Logan Baker, Lylah Baker, Colton Baker, Luke Baker, Remi Baker, Micah Fraise, Nathan Sherwood, and Riley Sherwood, three great great grandchildren, Jackson Riddle, Grayson Riddle and Wyatt Martens. She is also survived by a sister, Gert Howe of Manchester, N.H., several nieces and one nephew and good friend and neighbor, Jeanie Clark. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three sisters and several nephews. There will be no service or visitation. Burial will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery. Vigen Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
