Jeanette E. (Zunk) Shepard

Jeanette E. Shepard, 95, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, July 8, 2022 surrounded by her family. Jeanette was born in Curtice, Ohio September 18, 1926 to Roy and Freda (Lentz) Zunk. On July 16, 1948, she married Warren Shepard. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she was active with the Altar Guild and WELCA. Jeanette enjoyed working crossword puzzles, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed daily walks at Nature Trails Park. Her greatest love was spending time with multiple generations of her family. Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Janice (Roland) Sandrock and Cherri Shepard; grandchildren, Ron (Amy) Sandrock, Gary Johnson, Joe (Tanya) Kutchenriter, Michelle (Ed) Blank, Warren Tyler Shepard, and Emily Shepard; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Gary) Carstensen; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren; son, Mark Shepard; and grandchildren, Todd Simpson and Jennifer Johnson. The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road Friday, July 15, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 am in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road, Northwood where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Calvary Lutheran Church, Jennifer Johnson Scholarship Fund at Genoa High School or a charity of the donor’s choice.
