DORIS GURST HARRIS

<p>Doris Gurst Harris, 73, of DeSoto, Texas, died July 8, 2022, after a long illness.</p> <p>She was born March 5, 1949, in Biloxi, Mississippi, the daughter of Audrey Williams. She and her younger siblings grew up on air force bases in Europe and the southern United States.</p> <p>Doris graduated from University of Minnesota with a degree in Child Psychology and Black Studies in 1975. She later completed the Lutheran Seminary Program of the Southwest in Austin, TX with a Master of Divinity in 1990.</p> <p>She was an educator, a chaplain, and a Lutheran pastor, touching many lives in these career fields and making a difference in everyone she worked with.</p> <p>Doris loved traveling and enjoyed visiting countries all over the world. Doris Gurst Harris, 73, of DeSoto, Texas, died July 8, 2022, after a long illness.

She was born March 5, 1949, in Biloxi, Mississippi, the daughter of Audrey Williams. She and her younger siblings grew up on air force bases in Europe and the southern United States.
