Victoria Hope Santymire Fairfax, Virginia Obituary

Victoria Hope Santymire

Victoria Hope Santymire, 17, passed away on the morning of July 5th, 2022 in her Springfield home. She was the daughter of Veronica Sanders and Troy Santymire. Born in Prince William County, Virginia, she attended South County High School in Lorton, Virginia, where she was a rising senior. She was employed at Forever 21 in the Springfield Town Center, where she worked as a Brand Ambassador. Victoria loved to draw and paint, and she enjoyed playing video games, such as Overwatch and Minecraft, especially with her nephew, Jeremy. She spent countless late nights with Amaya Brown talking about everything and anything in her bedroom (her safe space). Ever since she was a little girl, she always had a deep love of fashion. Recently having developed a cooking hobby, she thought about pursuing a career as a chef or cook. One of her favorite TV shows was the comedy show BoJack Horseman. She will be remembered for her loving personality, desire for peace among all people, and her ability to make everyone around her smile. She was very crafty and creative, and often made people homemade birthday or holiday cards. She was incredibly forgiving and had a fantastic sense of humor. She loved to be silly with her family and friends. One of her favorite ways to do this was by making them participate in creating TikTok posts with her. She had a passion for rescuing animals and caring for them. Fish and ducks were some of her favorite animals and her cat, Tigger, was her most favorite pal in the whole world. Flowers brought her a lot of joy, as did spending time at the ocean. She is survived by her mother, Veronica Sanders; her step-father, James Sanders; her father, Troy Santymire; and her step-mother, Alison Santymire. She is also survived by her half-siblings: Melissa Koch, Andy Koch, Heather Rauch and Haley Santymire, as well as her four step-sisters: Karissa Sanders, Kayla Sanders, Paige Chavez and Megan Kozlowski. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews: Jeremy Koch, Erik Hernández, Hudson Rauch, and Niamh Carson; aunts and uncles: Christine Liegey, Nathan Fisher, John Fisher, and Robb Santymire; and her cousins and grandparents on both sides; as well as two pet fish, two dogs (Chloe and Anya), and three cats (Tigger, Zoey and Leif). Victoria is predeceased by her grandfather, Daniel Fisher, and her great-grandmother, Merry Johnson, as well as two pet ferrets (Erika and Rupert) and three dogs (Daisy, Thor and Magnus). The viewing/visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12th from 12:30-1:30 pm at Immanuel Bible Church on 6911 Braddock Rd, Springfield, VA 22151. A funeral service will be held at the same church at 2:00 pm that day. The burial service will be held on Wednesday, July 13th at 12:00 pm at the Stonewall Memory Gardens at 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, VA 20109. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Rikki's Refuge Animal Sanctuary at www.RikkisRefuge.org/donate and select “In Memory of Victoria Santymire” from the dropdown menu, or PO Box 1357, Orange, VA 22960. This organization is a 450-acre, no-kill, all species peaceful sanctuary that provides homeless, abandoned, differently-abled, and abused animals with a safe and loving place to stay and is supported solely by donations from kind and loving individuals. (And yes, they have ducks!) Lastly, the funeral home partners with a company for individuals to be able to purchase personal keepsakes in remembrance of their loved ones, so we wanted to pass along Victoria’s code to the community. If you’d like to make a purchase with this third party, you may visit https://LegacyTouch.com/. She will be listed under Victoria Santymire with the PIN DHAQUNWR .
