Virgil Spicer, 93 of Austin, Indiana, passed away at 2:10 AM on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his home. Virgil was born October 13, 1928, in Beattyville, Ky, he is the son of Rengo Spicer and Rose (Fox) Holiway who are both deceased. Virgil was known for being a jolly man, was always the life of the party and liked to “dance a jig”. He was an animal lover and liked to watch the beagles run, he enjoyed hunting ginseng and root, and watching his garden grow. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, Columbus Spicer, Nick Spicer, Cleo (Spicer) Jones, Frieda (Holiway) Shouse and Lena (Brandenburg) Elkins, and his son, Steven Spicer.
