Billy Wayne Yates
<p>Billy Wayne Yates, 70, passed away on July 3, 2022. He was born in Batesville, AR, on January 2, 1952, to D.B. and Edith Yates.</p> <p> </p> <p>Billy was a master plumber/pipefitter for local union 155 for 45 years. After high school, he joined the National Guard. He completed his basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana. During his free time, Billy loved to play solitaire and Rummikub and watch his kids and grandkids play sports. He especially loved spending time with his family and taking his dog Hug for rides. His final days were spent doing the things he loved with the people he loved, and with Hug.</p> <p> </p> <p>He is preceded in death by his parents, D.B. Yates and Edith Mae (Parker) Yates, and his daughter, Brandy Suzann Yates. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Wanda Sue Yates; son, Brett Wayne Yates (Leah); daughters, Stephanie Angela Thomas (Jason) and Karen Clarissa Yates; sister, Shirley Ann Weaver (Bobby); grandchildren, Jonah Rice, Calleigh Rice, Breanna Yates, Natalie Thomas, Mallory Thomas, and Teddy Mae Yates; niece, Sherry Weaver; and nephew, Peyton Weaver (Karen).</p> <p> </p> <p>A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>January 2, 1952 - July 3, 202201/02/195207/03/2022

I loved Billy I worked with him for many years. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and I learned so much from him and I told him often hope to see him again someday after while.
