Kenneth Murray Johnson

Kenneth Murray Johnson, age 85, of Star City, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Gardener Nursing Home. Kenneth was born February 24, 1937 to the Late D.C. Johnson and Velma Faye McNabb Johnson in Elektra, TX. Mr. Johnson worked as a horse trainer and exercise rider. He enjoyed crafting and flea markets, raising animals, and going to the senior center. Kenneth was a member of Yorktown Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was his loving wife of 36 years, Sherry Johnson. Survivors include two sons; Mike Johnson and wife Erin of Star City, and Kenneth “Nicky” Johnson of Hot Springs, one granddaughter; Destiny Sperry, and many extended family and friends. Funeral Services are 1:00pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Bro. Brandon Smith will officiate. Visitation is 12:00pm until funeral time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Cremation has been chosen by the family so there will be no committal service following the funeral. Honorary pallbearers are, David Cingolani, Wyatt Cingolani, David Nix, Mike Johnson, and Kenneth “Nicky”” Johnson.
