Randy Paul Cotnam Obituary

Randy Paul Cotnam October 2, 1953 - June 28, 2022 Passed away peacefully into the presence of his Savior on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Randy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 2, 1953 to Donald Cotnam and Donna (Hart) Cotnam. He attended James Madison High School where he met the love of his life Marlene (Lange) Cotnam. They were married at 19 and 18 and had the most beautiful life together. Randy was the adoring father to Tracy (Marcelino) and Trisha (Erik) and most proud grandpa "papa" to Ally (Caleb), Gavin, Aidan, Gabriel, Alaina, Brooklynn and the newest great-granddaughter Paloma. He adored his daughters and loved spending countless hours with his grandchildren. Randy was a small engine mechanic for Milwaukee County for 30 years from which he retired. After retirement, he continued to work at New Berlin Hills Golf Course. In Randy’s youth he was an avid go kart and snowmobile racer and won many accolades from his adventures. In 1972, he was first in the world in his division, for snowmobile racing. Randy had a passion for being outdoors and in nature. He loved to go deer hunting with bow and gun. His most favorite memory would be the deer he helped his grandson Gavin get this past fall of 2021. Randy also, held fond memories of Eagle River, Wisconsin, where he was known as “Uncle Randy” always being silly and having fun. Randy led his family by a Godly example by being a deacon and head usher at his church for many years. God was always the center of his life and family. Randy’s most favorite thing was to spend time with his family and friends. He was always kind, loving and put everyone else first in everything he did. Those Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory include his beautiful wife and life partner, Marlene. His oldest daughter Tracy (Marcelino) and grandchildren, Ally (Caleb) latest edition great granddaughter Paloma, Gavin, Aidan, Gabriel and Alaina. His daughter Trisha (Erik) and granddaughter Brooklynn. Also, his amazing mother Donna. His older brother Rex and brother-in-law Bruce (the late Jane), the late Shannon, her son Jake and Shelly (Jeff) and children, Anna and Liam. Further survived by many more family members in Florida and North Carolina and so many close friends. Randy would want us to remember; “I’ll be seeing you in all the old familiar places, that this heart of mine embraces all day through.” Rest peacefully now our amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend in the presence of Jesus until we all meet again. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Reverend David Koch will be officiating.
