Lyons - Juan C. Hernandez, 94 passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Rochester General Hospital.

The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. Juan's funeral service will follow visitation at 5 p.m. Private burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons, NY

Juan was born on Sunday, January 8, 1928, in Puerto Rico. He grew up in Puerto Rico, attending high school there. Juan moved to Newark, NY, in 1952, began working at Jackson Perkins in Newark, then worked at Newark Florist full-time until 1996 and part-time until he retired in 2011. Juan was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. Juan loved watching every New York Yankee game. His daughters were his pride and joy, and he cherished the time spent with them.

Juan will be remembered by his daughters Jeanette Hernandez and Milagros; many friends and extended family.

Juan was predeceased by his wife, Francisca in 2000; and a daughter, Elizabeth in 2019.
