Daniel Martin Dziuba Obituary

Daniel Martin Dziuba was born to eternal life on June 29, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Lottie, and his brother Bobby. Daniel is survived by his wife Annette; children Daniel (Teresa), Teresa (Keith), and Michael (Gina); granddaughters Annie, Diem, and Roslyn; his brother Alex and many nieces and nephews. Daniel was born December 1, 1948 and grew up in Cudahy, WI. He grew up with a love of sports and would take in many Braves games and car races with his dad and brothers. His family would go on an annual vacation every summer to Turtle Flambeau Flowage in Northern Wisconsin and his father taught him how to clean fish as a young boy, which infamously became his job for any future fishing trips. Daniel would entertain his children with vivid memories of his childhood in the 1950s, including where to get the best kielbasa (Adamczyk Foods) and schnecks after Sunday mass. Daniel went to St John’s Cathedral High School in Milwaukee, WI and graduated in 1966. His graduating class was very close, and he kept in contact with many of those friends throughout his life. Daniel and his wife would attend the many reunions for his class of ’66, most recently his 50th in 2016. Daniel went to UW- Whitewater and met Annette his sophomore year in the fall of 1967. He graduated in 1971 with a BBA in Marketing. Daniel married Annette July 8, 1972 at St John’s Cathedral. In 1977 they built a home in Brookfield, WI where he spent the remainder of his life as a devoted husband and dedicated father to his three children. Daniel began his career in sales for Hal Leonard and he started his own small business of executive sales recruitment with a colleague- Sale Associates of America. Daniel worked as an executive sales recruiter until his retirement in 2010. Daniel was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1975 and with blind determination and the inspiration of his family he never gave up hope that he would overcome it. Daniel greatly appreciated all the doctors and nurses that helped him in his fight against MS, especially his home nursing team that was dedicated to his care in the last year. After 47 years of enduring long past his early prognosis, it wouldn’t be fair to say he “lost” the fight. Instead, his strength throughout was inspiration to those closest to him and will never be forgotten. Daniel had great knowledge and admiration for our country’s military. He greatly respected all the men and women who served this country, especially his uncles who fought in WW II and the Korean War, many friends he lost in the Vietnam War, and his son Dan who served in the Air Force. Daniel spent his life enjoying time with his friends and family. His memory and knowledge of history, politics, sports, firearms, and cars was extremely detailed, and he could always carry an in-depth conversation on any of these topics. His favorite hobbies included fishing, skiing, grilling, watching Packers and Brewer’s games, UW-Whitewater Warhawks football, and taking many road trips across the United States. Daniel loved watching movies and tv shows such as Cheers, Sopranos, Seinfeld; and his laugh during classic comedies such as Caddy Shack or Christmas Vacation will never be forgotten. Daniel is loved and will be forever missed by his family and friends. As he would say, ‘Go Pack Go’. Daniel’s funeral service will take place at ST. MARY'S VISITATION CATHOLIC PARISH (1260 Church St Elm Grove, WI) on Wednesday July 6th, 2022. Visitation will be at the church at 10:00 am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. A luncheon will immediately follow at Alioto’s (3041 North Mayfair Rd Wauwatosa, WI). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate) or Ronald McDonald House of Eastern WI (https://rmhc.org/).
