Iris Louise McMaster, 70, of Hammondsville, OH, passed away suddenly in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, after suffering a brain bleed on her 70th birthday. Her birthday present was getting to go be with the angels.
Iris was born June 27, 1952, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Fletcher) Carpenter.
She was a chef, seamstress, nurse, teacher, handy women, and gardening extraordinaire. Iris was a lot of things to different people and everything to some.
A loving wife of nearly 53 years to Kenneth McMaster, Iris was also a mother to Julie McMaster (James) Temple and Christina Groves-McMaster (Keith Davis), a grandmother to Macy McMaster, Desirae Temple and Alyssa (Cody) Kemmerling, and a great-grandmother to Kayden and Jackson.
Visitation will be held Saturday July 2, 2022, from 11 am to 2 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Pastor Susan Clegg will officiate and burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Toronto.
