Kevin Ewart McCabe passed away peacefully June 28, at Sparrow Hospital Comfort Care. Born to Robert D. McCabe and Agnes Ihrig McCabe on September 12, 1959, he was just 62 years old. Raised in a large family on 100 acres in Lansing Michigan. Kevin graduated from Holt High School and received his degree from Kirkland Community College. He worked with both of his brothers’ landscaping businesses throughout the years. Kevin was an avid Spartan and Detroit Tiger fan and loved going to the games in Detroit. He was a hard worker - devoted to his family, a good cook, great pool player and a funny and entertaining man. Kevin is survived by his siblings Suzanne (husband Marcos), Daniels (wife Debbie), Karen, Rita, Judi (husband Robert) and Terry (wife Laura), nephews Nick & Curtis and nieces Jessi, Andria, Cassandra, Alexa, Alanna and Clare. He leaves a hole in the heart of the love of his life and long time significant other Kathy Lott. Predeceased by both his parents, brothers John & Bob, sister Kathy, ex-wife Teresa Ranshaw, Stepson James Ranshaw, infant child Evin McCabe and nephew Anthony. When Kevin, his brothers Dan & Terry, and their co-workers faced a challenge in their landscaping work the expression “Good Day” would be declared, which gave them all a big smile. Everyone will miss hearing Kevin’s, now famous, “Good Day”. He will be sorely missed by his many, many friends in the greater Lansing, Michigan area.
