Lorraine Pauline Brunner

Lorraine Pauline Brunner, (nee Hemb) Lorraine passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022, surrounded by her children. She is preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Alice Hemb, stepfather Rudolf Weinhold, brother and sister-in-law Erv & Elaine Hemb, daughter-in-law Christine Brunner, son-in-law James Richter, and former husband James Brunner. She is survived by her children; Mark Brunner, Mary Richter (Doug), Maxine (Tom) Fleury, and Maxwell Brunner. Further survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Judith (Robert) Booker, sister-in-law Elaine (late Howard) Brunner as well as numerous family and friends. She will also be missed by her cherished cat companion - Maddie. Lorraine was born on December 15, 1929, in Howards Grove, Wisconsin. She graduated from Random Lake High School where she met her husband, Jim. They moved around a bit before settling down in Sussex, Wisconsin where the two of them, with the help of their two oldest children physically constructed the home they lived in. She worked for Briggs & Stratton for 30 years where she enjoyed many friendships and colleagues before retiring and moving to a lake home on Silver Springs Lake in Neshkoro, Wisconsin. She enjoyed having family time and pontoon boat rides with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her joys was feeding bread to the small fish off her pier. Lorraine loved her family dearly and was a great sport; never taking life too seriously. She enjoyed polka music, crocheting, working her flower beds, and bird watching. She also enjoyed watching Packer and Badger games during the winter seasons. Her smile, silly smirks, and that special “look” she would give will forever be missed. We love you Mom and will carry you with us always. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, from 5:00 PM until time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM.
