James A. E. "Jim" Sutter Obituary

James A. E. "Jim" Sutter, 63, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully June 28, 2022 at home. He was the husband of Kris (Miles) Sutter. They shared exactly 42 years of marriage together. His children include Brian (Alison) of Washington, IL, Jimmy (Rachel), Shane (Julia), and Zachary (Allison) all of Palmyra, MO. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren. Born in Quincy, IL, June 4, 1959, he was the son of James and Lois V. Wuthrich Sutter. He attended Palmyra High School and graduated in 1977. He is also survived by his mother, Lois Sutter, of Palmyra and his siblings include Randy Sutter (Pam) of Peoria, IL, Vickie Steffen (Roger) of Rensselaer, IN, Penny Knochel (Eric) and Kim Sutter (Vonnette) both of Palmyra. Jim was preceded in death by his father. Jim was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Taylor, MO. He enjoyed reading from the gospels and was humbled by Christ's love. Jim loved to farm and farmed for many years with his father. After farming, he worked at Diemakers in the tool room before retiring in 1998. He loved his time outdoors with his sons and grandkids. Trout fishing at Bennett Springs was his favorite place to vacation. Friends and family are invited to a visitation for Jim from 5:00pm to7:00pm Thursday June 30, 2022 at the Apostolic Fellowship Hall at Taylor. A visitation will also be held from 9:00am to 9:45am followed by Funeral services at 10:00 am Friday July 1, 2022 at the Apostolic Christian Church of Taylor. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Sutter, Jimmy Sutter, Shane Sutter, Zachary Sutter, Roger Sutter, and Richard Sutter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church of Taylor, MO. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren Presley, Kennedy, Eli, cash, Titus, Ivy, Sylvia, Bentley, Si, Finnley, Kyle, and baby Sutter.
