<p>Cynthia Ellen Dunning<br /> <br /> Cynthia (Cyd) Dunning, 73, of Newark, NY, passed away on June 25, 2022 at home with her family at her side.<br /> <br /> Cyd was born in Syracuse, NY, to Ralph and Patricia Dunning on October 14, 1948. She went to Gloversville High School and went on to earn a degree in English / Sociology from SUNY Potsdam. After college, she relocated to California, first to Marin County and later to Sonoma County. She worked as a transit driver for Santa Rosa, a field technician for Quantum Electronics, and eventually as a technical writer for Medtronics. She volunteered for Stewards of the Coast and loved animals and all types of music, especially The Grateful Dead.<br /> <br /> Cyd is survived by her brother, Terry (Maureen) Dunning, many nieces and countless friends.<br /> <br /> She is preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, Janey Evans.<br /> <br /> Cyd moved back to New York State in 2021 to be near her brother.
