Naomi May (Burge) Hetrick, age 87, of Hebron, formerly of Crooksville, died on June 26, 2022 at her daughter’s home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born on February 15, 1935 in Newark, Ohio to the late Lanson Salatheal and Tollie (Hoffer) Burge.

She was a member of Wesleyan Church in Crooksville. Naomi was a devout Christian who was committed to God’s Word.

She was a caretaker of many generations of her family. She cared for her parents in their late years and her love didn’t stop with family as she was known to care for friends and support others in need.

Naomi is survived by her daughter, Naomi (Matthew) Bellew; one great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn Bettger; a niece and her husband, Connie and Bob Abel; one nephew, Rob Johnson; and close friends, Roy and Linda Solgot.

In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Dale R. Hetrick (June 26, 1994) and her siblings.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
