Ricky (Rick) Leonard Janssen of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre on June 23, 2022 at the age of 41 years.  

Rick was born on May 16, 1981 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB to Leonard and Olga Janssen.  Rick grew up on a farm by Makinak, MB.  He went to elementary school in Ochre River from Kindergarten until Grade 8 and graduated from high school at the Dauphin Regional Secondary School on 2000.  He worked at Walmart for the last 16 years.

In Rick's spare time he enjoyed time with family, watching wrestling, watching cooking shows, playing video game, playing games and cards.  He never missed any family members birthday and especially loved Christmas.

Rick will be missed by his parents Leonard and Olga Janssen; sisters Michelle (Vince) Puchailo and Kristin (Ard) Leforte; nephew Liam Puchailo and nieces Kassie Puchailo and Miley Leforte.

Predeceased by grandparents Carl Janssen (1983) and Alice Janssen (1995) and Baba Cassie Lulashnyk  (1998).

The family would like to thank all health care employees for their support in the last 7 months including Dr. Cavers, home care staff and the palliative care at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre.

A private service was held.
