<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>MS. MATTIE SIMMONS, daughter of the late Mr. Willie Latimore and the late Mrs. Fannie Davis Latimore passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.&nbsp; After having lived a joyful life, an angel of the Lord came and carried her from her earthly home to her eternal home. She was born September 23,1930 in Eatonton, Putnam County, Georgia.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ms. Mattie received her education from Putnam County Schools in Eatonton, Georgia and worked as a Caregiver of many. She raised and loved many children one of which was a favorite (Ame).&nbsp;</p> <p>She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Jefferson Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. &nbsp;Her service included being on the Choir and Mother&rsquo;s Board.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ms. Mattie enjoyed cooking cakes for people in Eatonton and the surrounding areas. They were so tasty!&nbsp; In addition, she enjoyed traveling to visit relatives and friends.&nbsp; She also loved sitting on her porch with her neighbors as well as walking.&nbsp; Although she never married, she gave excellent advice to her relatives on how to have a good relationship with their friends. She was a God-fearing woman who loved helping others.</p> <p>Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of many relatives which include: four nephews: Ulysses Monday of Decatur, GA, Willie C. Monday (Phyllis) of Riverdale, GA, Walter Monday (Betty) of Milledgeville, GA, Robert Lee Swain of Jonesboro, GA; Three&nbsp;nieces:&nbsp;&nbsp;Fannie Collins of Milledgeville,&nbsp;GA;, Dorothy Allen and Gennie Gilbert both of Miami, Florida;&nbsp; her loving and faithful Godchildren that she raised: Ame, Will, Ferrell, and MacKay; a host of other relatives and friends.</p> <p>Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, 11:00 AM at Jefferson Baptist Church Cemetery, 495 Harmony Road, Eatonton, GA. &nbsp;The Eulogist will be Minister Ulysses T. Monday.&nbsp; Viewing will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5:00 PM &ndash; 7:00 PM at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home, 105 Agnes Street, Eatonton, GA.&nbsp; Putnam Funeral Home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol.&nbsp; Please wear mask and social distance.</p> <p>Service of Remembrance Entrusted to Putnam Memorial Funeral Home, 105 Agnes Street, Eatonton, Georgia 31024; Business (706) 484-2522, Cell (404) 803-0852; Fax (706) 923-1833, Harry C.
