Kristensen Newman Sewell, 74, passed away on June 21, 2022 in Gulfport, MS. Kristensen was born on May 28, 1948 in New Orleans, LA to parents Joseph, and Agnes E. Mattox Sewell. Kris was a hardworking man that started working in construction with his father at a young age. Kris worked hard and eventually became a Master Carpenter that could build or repair anything. He loved spending time with his family or being outside working in the yard. Kris was a jokester with a great since of humor and he was also a wonderful father that had the honor of coaching his son Chad's baseball team. Kris was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many that will be dearly missed. Welcoming Kris into Heaven are his parents, Joseph, and Agnes Sewell; daughter, Schandra Lizana; brother, John Sewell; sisters, Gail Sewell, and Sharon Kinney. Left to cherish Kris's memories are his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Gwen L. Sewell of Saucier, MS; son, Chad Sewell of Saucier, MS; stepsons, Tommy Dickerson of Gulfport, MS, and Shawn (Brandy) Lizana of Johnson City, TN; stepdaughter, Michelle Burk of Saucier, MS; sisters, Judith Waldrop and Jolene Babin. Also left to cherish his memories are six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
