Ruth L. Wolfgang (Daehnke), 86, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York. She was the wife of the late Thomas S. Wolfgang. The couple had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 4, 2020. A Memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 2580 Mt Rose Ave. York on Wednesday June 29. Visitation will be between 10-11, with the funeral following at 11. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Born May 21, 1936 in York to the late Irvin P. Daehnke and Mary A. Daehnke (Geiman). She graduated from William Penn High School and worked for Sears and several banks in the York Area but mostly was a homemaker. She enjoyed her time shopping, decorating her house, watching hockey, snow birding in Florida with the gang, and trips to Dover Downs or Penn National. She leaves behind two sons, Thomas P. Wolfgang and wife Donna of York, Steven J. Wolfgang and wife Gail of Lancaster. 3 Grandchildren, Justin Wolfgang of Alameda, CA, Tyler Wolfgang of Grand Rapids, MI and Katlyn (Wolfgang) Pituch and husband, Andrew of York. Two Great-Grandchildren, Gideon Pituch and Martha Pituch both of York. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ellen Daehnke and brother Carl A. Daehnke.
